Location: Washington, MI                                       

REPORTS TO: VP Sales 

Salary Range: $45k to $55k+ Based on Experience

Benefits:  Full benefits offered, 50/50 cost roughly $90mo for all – health, vision dental

401k

1 week vacation after 90, 2 weeks after a year, 3 weeks after 5 years

On top of that 4 personal/sick days per year

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Knowledge of all processes required to complete a landscape project
  • Knowledge of current and potential costs of materials and equipment rental rates
  • Handle all communications between prospects and clients professionally and promptly, including digital/written correspondences, as well as client complaint.
  • Gathering, calculating and compiling data for use in bid/estimates and sales proposals
  • Estimating using computer and prints via blueprints
  • Complete takeovers and prepare proposals for new / existing construction landscapes
  • Generating bid/estimates based upon accurate cost/hours/square footages that are complete and easy to  understand
  • Maintain and meet deadlines

ADDITIONAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years of Green Industry sales / estimating for commercial landscaping preferred
  • Clean driving record
  • Plant Identification skills required
  • Operations experience in green industry preferred

EDUCATION:  This position requires a minimum education level of:  High School Diploma. Preferred: Bachelor Degree in related field. Formal education pertinent to the position is recommended.

EXPERIENCE:  This position requires a minimum experience level of:  3-5 years’ experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual requires working knowledge of computers, design programs, Microsoft Office, and any other applicable programs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.  Those who manage others are expected to have the ability to lead one or a team of individuals to achieve department goals.

TRAVEL: Travel will consist of managing appointments, traveling to customer/client sites, bid locations, United’s other offices, and any other location required to conduct business. This position will primarily work out of the Washington, MI location. Position will allow for use of a company vehicle, and if required to use personal vehicle for any travel outside of the main office, employee will be reimbursed.
